Fourteens Solitaire is a simple addition solitaire game.
| Players: 1 | Type: Solitaire | Supplies: 2 Decks |
The objective of fourteens solitaire is to remove pairs with a combined value of 14.
Deal out two reserve piles with 15 face up cards in each pile. Deal out a row of four face up cards to form the four tableau piles. Place the remaining cards face down to form the stock.
2-10: Face Value
The top card of the tableau piles, the reserve piles and the waste pile are available for play. When two available cards
have a combined total of 14, discard the two cards from the game. When a tableau pile becomes empty, fill the space with
the top card of the waste pile, or the top card of the stock if there is not a waste pile.
When no more pairs can be discarded from the tableau, reserve, or waste pile, flip the top card of the stock over to form or add to the waste pile. Play continues until all cards are discarded from the game or there are no more moves.
To win fourteens solitaire, all cards must be discarded from the game in pairs that add up to fourteen. If the player exhausts the stock and runs out of moves before all cards are discarded, fourteens solitaire is lost.
