Big forty is a typical solitaire game that uses one deck of playing cards.
| Players: 1 | Type: Solitaire | Supplies: 1 Deck |
The objective of big forty solitaire is to build the foundation piles up in sequence from ace to king in suit.
Deal out ten tableau piles with four cards each face up splayed down. Place the remaining deck face down to form the stock.
Aces are moved above the tableau to form a foundation pile when they become available. To add a card to a foundation
pile, it must be one rank higher and of the same suit.
The top card of each tableau pile is available for play onto another tableau pile or foundation pile. Tableau piles are built down in sequence in suit. A single card or group of cards in the proper sequence, may be moved from tableau pile to tableau pile. When a tableau pile becomes empty, it may be filled by any available card or sequence of cards from another tableau pile, or the top card of the waste pile.
When there are no more available moves, flip the top card of the stock to form or add to the waste pile. There is no redeal.
To win big forty solitaire, all foundation piles must be built from ace to king in suit.
